What’s New in PrimerPrep: Smarter Tools for Smarter Lessons

The latest update to PrimerPrep is here — with some exciting new features based directly on feedback from users like you!

Updates to the Lesson Texts tab:

  • New Filter box:
Any text you type in this handy box (#20, in the image below) gets highlighted in bold  throughout the lesson. By default, it shows the current letter being introduced, so you can quickly spot where it appears. Want to check how well you are reinforcing a letter from a previous lesson? Just type it into the filter and see where it shows up.
  • New word highlighting:
Words in the lesson text that haven’t appeared in earlier lessons are now highlighted in yellow. This helps you control unused vocabulary in your lessons.
  • Untaught residue still in red:
As before, any untaught characters are marked in red.

A helpful legend at the bottom of the screen makes it easy to remember what each highlight means:

Other improvements:

  • Enhanced Teaching Order view:
In the Teaching Order list, the letter being introduced is now marked in bold in the example words, making it easier to see its position in each word.
  • Updated Help documentation:
The Help file has been fully updated to match these new features. Screenshots have been refreshed — including updated Spanish screenshots and, for the first time, French screenshots showing the French user interface!
